Protect your skin from Premature Ageing

Two-thirds of all sun damage is incidental, like while driving or walking, not lying by the pool. A year of incidental UV exposure is almost the same as spending a week at the beach with no suncream.

That’s why sun protection is vital throughout the year, not just when you are only holidays.

elave dermo-cosmetic daily skin defence SPF 30+ can be used on even the most sensitive skin types and shields the skin from the harmful rays that cause age spots, wrinkles and sun damage. 90% of wrinkles are caused by overexposure to the sun, elave dermo-cosmetic daily skin defence SPF 30+ can help defend the skin and reduce the effects the sun has on the skin leaving it hydrated and soft.

Drench your skin in Vitamin C this Summer

Everyone knows that Vitamin C is good for our bodies. So much so that it has become such a staple in our diet that orange juice – packed full of vitamin C – is part of the standard breakfast. However, not everyone knows that vitamin C is also an excellent addition to your daily skincare routine. In fact, it may be just the thing you’re looking for to protect and rejuvenate your skin.

Vitamin C is used in elave dermo-cosmetic daily skin defence SPF30+ because of its ability to fight free radicals and its role in the production of collagen. A healthy collagen level is key to the smooth, plump appearance of young, healthy skin. Skin with low collagen levels that is battling free radicals appears sunken, wrinkled and aged. Some experts say that vitamin C is the only antioxidant proven to be effective in collagen production. This product is a fantastic anti-ageing cream because not only is it packed with Vitamin C but it contains an SPF of 30+ to defend skin from premature skin ageing.

Take the elave Challange

Skin problems often begin with untreated dry skin conditions. Although dry skin is fairly common, a lot of people don’t do anything about it until the skin starts flaking, cracking or catching on their clothing. What most people don’t realise is that their skin has probably been dry and dehydrated for some time before those symptoms appear.

That is why we recommend that you take a break form using products that contain harsh chemicals such as parabens and sulphates and take the elave combined therapy challenge for 2 weeks and see the difference for yourself. Just follow these 3 simple steps:

1. Wash, shower or bathe with elave shower or body wash
2. Shampoo hair with elave shampoo and follow with elave conditioning treatment to leave hair soft and shiny without irritating the body when rinsing
3. Moisturise regularly with elave intensive cream or body lotion to leave skin soft and protected.

Nudity has been used as a device within the ads to highlight the elave product range’s comprehensive ‘free from’ chemical list and the fact that the elave brand lists its ingredients openly on its packaging.

A growing number of consumers are starting to request chemical safe skincare and it is hoped that this campaign will bring these issues into the public domain and ignite the debate, particularly amongst chemical concerned consumers and sufferers of sensitive skin conditions.

Sensitive skin solutions from elave

Skincare products are often designed for different skin types - dry, oily, normal and sensitive. Dry, oily and normal describe the condition of the skin’s surface, but ‘sensitive’ generally relates to how the skin responds to the cosmetics, soaps and lotions which it comes into contact with.

People with sensitive skin often switch from one product to another in search of something that doesn’t cause a negative reaction. Most skincare products contain 20-40 ingredients and every time you change products looking for the one that will not cause irritation to sensitive skin you are exposing your skin to 20-40 different irritants. That is why elave intensive cream is the right choice for sensitive skin for all the family.

elave intensive cream contains no harsh chemicals or known irritants and is suitable for sensitive skin prone to flare ups. elave intensive cream moisturises the skin leaving it feeling soft and smooth. Order over £30/€43 before the end of June and receive a FREE full size elave intensive cream.

It is not only women who suffer from dry, sensitive or irritated skin. Many skin care products for men do not cater for those with very sensitive skin that is susceptible to flare ups caused by chemicals in some moisturisers and skin care products. That is why we created the elave for men range which includes a shave gel, shave balm and a daily face protection spf 15.

The entire range contains no harsh chemicals which may irritate sensitive skin and with added moisturisers will leave the skin feeling smooth and soft. The range is ideal for sensitive skin, eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis.

The daily face protection SPF15 is ideal for use on the sports field to protect the skin from the harmful rays of the sun.

What are Parabens?

skincare No Comments »

Parabens are a group of chemicals used as preservatives in cosmetic and food products to make them last longer. Parabens can be found in shampoos, moisturizers, shaving gels, cleansers, topical pharmaceuticals and toothpaste. There have been a lot of studies on whether or not parabens are harmful. Some studies claim that there is a link between parabens and the development of breast cancer. On the other hand, there are studies which claim parabens are completely safe but can be irritanting to sensitive skin. We have independent information on our website so that you can do the research for yourself or simply Google parabens for more information.

When developing the elave range we decided that avoiding the use of parabens was the safer option. Why put the health of you and your family at risk using a preservative which may or may not be safe when we can use a safer alternative. We also purify our water to ensure we only use the minimum amount of preservative in our products to avoid irritating your skin.
